Severs Disease

June 21st, 2010 . by admin

There are numerous types of conditions which happen in a child that will not affect in grown-ups. A frequent reason with this is that growth is still occurring. For the bones in your body, they begin like a cartilage and lots of our bones have several places in them which have several bone growth areas building. In the calcaneus or heel bone tissue, generally there is one main center as well as another development area at the rear. Both of these join together around age 15. Before that age, there might be a strain of that growth area. This is called Severs disease. There are no long-term problems with this condition since the 2 locations of the heel bone fuse into one.
